Chapter 7


Winry got up and started to clear the table. “I’ll do that Winry. Brother didn’t you have something to show them?” Al asked as Ed picked Trisha up, who had egg all down his jumper and around her face. “oh Trisha you didn’t drink your milk.” Winry said walking over with a glass. Trisha immediately started screaming. “no no no yucky milk yucky milk.” Ed smiled .
“ can’t she just have some juice? Or water? “ he said.
Winry smiled. “ I guess.”
“ what would you like Trisha, water or juice?” Ed asked smiling. Trisha looked at him with a what just happened here right now look? “Y…Yo…You mean I don’t have to drink the Yucky Milk?” she asked wide eyed.
“no of course not why would you?” Ed said smiling.
“ well Mummy always said I had to and that daddy would be sad if  I didn’t.” Trisha said.
“did you drink the milk?” Ed asked
“yes I didn’t want Daddy to be sad.” Trisha said shuddering. Ed smiled and kissed her forehead.
“well you don’t have to drink it anymore and I’m going to have a talk with Mummy about making you drink the milk which is really Yucky.” Ed said smiling. Trisha started crying. “sweetie what’s wrong” Ed asked worried.
“the bad man told me that milk was my daddy’s favourite drink. And that means you cant be my Daddy.” she cried.
Ed kissed her forehead. “the bad man lied when he told you that milk’s my favourite drink. And I am your Daddy. I have the memories to prove it as well as the DNA.” Trisha looked at him confused. “what’s DNA?”
“it what makes you, you.” Ed said.
“oh and how do you get it?” Trisha asked
“well when a mummy and a daddy decide to have a baby they ah mix they’re DNA to create a baby.” Ed said pleased with his scientific answer. Winry snorted. “with test tubes? Like the scientists in Central that work for Uncle Roy have?” Trisha said looking excited.
“kinda… wait since when does Roy have scientists working for him?” Ed said.
“since  he became the king and got a big room to work in” Trisha said pleased with herself that she understood what her dad had told her. Ed smiled. “lets go get you cleaned up.” he said carrying her in to the bathroom. Winry went and sat in his room, thinking about Ed’s reaction to Trisha’s announcements. How will he take the news that guys had been crowding around the moment the news got out that he was dead or trapped some place else and would probably never get back? He’d always been very protective and seemed to like punching out guys who tried to “go after”  what was his… oh well no use worrying and I’m sure that I’ll find out soon enough. She’s probably  telling him right now. ..

In the bathroom Ed was cleaning Trisha’s face. “so what was it you needed to talk to me about?” Ed asked.
“the men that wont leave mummy alone.” Trisha said.

Once Ed had cleaned her up he carried her to his room where he shut the door and placed Trisha on his bed next to Winry. Ed bent down and pulled boxers out from under his bed. Trisha was watching him with a gleam in her eye. “what’s in those? Who are they for? Are they for mummy and me?” she asked at a speed never before known to mankind.
Ed smiled. “yes they are for you and mummy. They have clothes for you to wear”…
